Remote central locking not working

Hey, Im having some trouble with my 2008 FR, the remote central locking won't work.

However, when pressing the key, the car clicks behind the dashboard but won't operate the door locks. The central locking works fine from the 2 buttons near the handbrake, and the drivers door lock, just not the remote.


Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll try and attach a video of the problem.

Hi I’ve had this problem with mine. You need to get a car locksmith to program a new fob for you they will also test that it’s your key at fault and not a module.

Nah, I didn’t get it sorted! No one has any idea what it could be.

I was originally having a problem with the driver's door. But tonight I noticed that when pressing the button on the dash by the seats the driver's door wasn't locking or unlocking.

So I'm going to change the driver's door locking part and I think the window motor as I think there is a control module attached to that. It's only £45 for both parts.

Next I was looking into another part behind the glove box.

Have you checked to see if all of your doors lock and unlock from the console button?

Mine stopped working completely when I changed the car battery
