Scott

Probably a daft question but can you fit autowindow device to an A4 that does not have the fold in mirror option? I did look on the website and saw that Audi's aren't listed but thought I would ask anyway.

Thanks

Andy

...realised what the double unlocking disable in vag-com...

Pete/Darren - am I reading this right? Did you disable the double unlocking feature then?

So when Darren says:

returning to the car I press unlock once and the mirrors fold out and doors unlock

You mean ALL the doors unlock on one press?

We were wondering if disabling the double unlock feature with vag-com stops the "UNLOCK->UNLOCK is seen as UNLOCK->UNLOCK->UNLOCK, which does a full unfold & roll down" issue. Any thoughts?

Hi Phil,

I went to the dealers to get all the doors to unlock with one click.

1) If i press once now all the doors unlock and mirrors fold out.
2) press unlock twice all doors unlock, mirrors fold out and all the windows start to open.

Once the windows start to open you can press unlock again and it stops the windows ;)

Hope that helps answer your question.

It does yes.  Not what I wanted to hear, :( but it answers the question.

Remember there's a couple work around to prevent windows coming down "two easily". (Pun intended I guess ;-)

Try this command sequence:

UNLOCK, mirrors start unfolding...
pause 2 seconds
UNLOCK UNLOCK, all doors unlock

Or, the hardware work around is disconnect the AutoWindow white wire, that prevents any kind of down action.

Cheers
Scott

What happens when you dissable the double unlock feature is not what I imagined...

With it on, one press unlocks the drivers door, the second unlocks all the doors, it's just the drivers door is unlocked already. When you disable this one press on the remote basically unlocks the drivers door, then all of then just like you had pressed the button twice.

So the autowindow device sees this as unlock unlock...

So two presses on the remote is seen as unlock unlock unlock and all the windows wind down... Oh what fun we had in the rain until we figured that out... lol

Pete

Ahhh, I see.

Scott - I would clip the white wire, except it just seems like a waste. I know that you can cancel the wind down (trust me, I know ;)), but sometimes, even if the windows are cracked open, and it's raining... (like it does *occasionally* in the UK). Looks like we picked the wrong button press sequence for a full wind down...

Pete/Darren - I suppose having the two stage unlocking disabled means that you don't need to press UNLOCK->UNLOCK at all, so you won't get a full wind down.

Yes, experiments report that unlocking the Cupra (pressing unlock button once when the car is in locked/armed state) actually throws two unlock pulses to the driver's door. This is unlike any other car that AutoWindow supports, so it's a bit of a unique feature of the Cupra ;-) At this time, the best "work around" is to put a 2 second pause after your first unlock button press...

HI!

...does sombody mail me instalation manual of Autowindow :) ...I plan doing something in my Leon and this would be helpfully

Regards

What are you doing with your car that a manual for AutoWindow would help you with ..if it's not an AutoWindow going in - wouldn't you have the manual already?

AutoWindow manuals are copyright and we'd prefer you buy the product to have one of your own if that's what you want. Thanks for your understanding.

Any updates to this Scott??

Thanks

Also, while we're asking Scott for updates...

My battery went flat today (don't ask!), and now I can't unlock any of the doors other than the driver's door, no matter how many times I press the "unlock" button!!

Unit installed in "power pack" mode

Is this an Autowindow glitch (and would stripping my door down and following the button-pressing installation procedure help?), or should I be reaching for vag-com instead??

Anyone else with Autowindow had a flatt battery yet??

OK folks, update on my above post...

I e-mailed Scott with the above, and he got me to do a series of checks on the car, and said it was the first he'd heard of such problem.

All the checks showed the Autowindow to be working fine!! :D

But... door locks still messing around :(

Vag-com'd & cleared faults - still not working :(

Disconnected the battery for 5 minutes & shorted car cables... ... ... Put it all back together and...

ALL WORKING!!! :D

So, in response to my above question - no it isn't an autowindow glitch!!

Right, where did I put my radio code??

Mega thumbs up to Scott  for his time in helping me with this!!

I'm instaling alarm in my Leon which have function to drowe car windows and I want to make that my alarm works on original remote cntrol...so your manual will help me to locate which wire do you use to recognized remote :)...

...right now I already discovered wires and conect my alarm and almost works :)...but I saw that I have the same problem with "two pulses" :(

...do you think that problem with "two pulses" will be solwed with Vag-com?...if so...we only must to know where this function is hiding :)

...regards

...this is not remote double click but double pulse on unlock signal in the drivers door ;)
