Hello,
I have a Seat Leon 1P1 (2006) with comfort control module 1K0 959 433 AK. According to the previous owner, the remote key has not been working for about 7 years, so I decided to investigate and fix the issue.
First, I replaced the key battery, but it made no difference.
Then I tried programming the remote using VCDS, but nothing happened. It looks like VCDS does not detect the remote key at all.
When I try to change the number of keys in VCDS and press Save or Test, the value immediately reverts back. Right after that, fault code 01179 appears.
After that, I tried replacing the comfort control module with another one, but the problem remained.
I also had the key checked by a key programming service. The key itself seems to be working correctly and transmits an RF signal at 434 MHz, but the car does not detect it, as if it is not receiving or accepting the RF signal.
What should I check next? Could the RF antenna be the issue? Maybe the antenna or wiring is damaged or corroded. Where does the RF antenna wire run from the comfort control module, and where is the antenna located?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
