When I collected my new Leon last week, I was given a note explaining that reinstatement of the mirror reverse kerb function has been delayed from planned build week 45 and will not now be included until build week 49 2013 (2 December 2013) and also that it cannot be retro fitted or recoded.

That's rubbish. I picked my car up yesterday and I have just been out and coded it in and it works perfectly !!!!

Seat need to sort this out. When I bought my ex-demo car I commented that the dipping mirror didn't work on the test drive - the dealer told me it probably hadn't been switched on in the menu. Looks like he either didn't have a clue or was telling me a load of bull.

Either way, we know that it's possible to have it retro-fitted, and Seat need to be doing this as a good will gesture. I think I need to write to their CS again.

Yes it will be the very latest VCDS, VCDS (Formely Vag-Com Diagnostics system) is a piece of third party software which interacts with the car via the OBD2 port to do logging, diagnostics and make changes.

Its about £250 to buy.
