Removed the IBIZA badge... WTF!!!

I just removed the IBIZA badge on the back of the Cupra to put a new 20VT badge on and was shocked!

Where you would expect the paint under the badge to be darker than the rest of the car its not!

The badge has left a light shadow of IBIZA in the pait. The rest of the boot is darker than the paint under the badge.

Surely thats weird?

Mine are off and did show a little. Lots of effort will sort it!

he doesnt have one at the moment tom but trust me he does a excellent job by hand!

i used to have a polo and heard it was common when taking off the bump strips from the doors, that the paint underneath would be lighter. apparantly its due to the glue in the double sided tape bleaching the paint?!?
