:censored:have searched and nothing so far, so posting up to see if i get a response...

my splitter is damaged and have purchased a new one...can anyone point me in the right direction of how to get to the clips to remove the old one???

my cousin jacked up the car, removed the wheel arch lining and says that it looks like i'll have to rove the front bumper or unscrew the protective trays under the engine to get to the clips...

I assume the FR+ splitter is the same as the Cupra R? If that's the case you need to pull hard outwards at the left & right hand corners of the splitter and work your way around, it's easy once you get a couple of clips out. At the centre of the bumper where the bumper curves up a little, you need to force the splitter down to pop the two large clips out.

Adding a new one is basically easiest done by following the removal proceedure backwards. I used a trolley jack to pop the two centre clips back in.

Just ordered my new one form the Stealer today, £23 and the advise was give it a good pull, Mine is trashed now, its got worse with the amount of recovery trucks its been on lately! The final straw was a big curb i pulled up to Saturday night, you no its going to be bad when the car stops dead without the brakes :(

I removed my old one buy sawing through the two struts with a jnr hacksaw. You can then push it together with your fingers and they will pull out easy

Changed mine on the weekend after a few to many handbrake turns in the fields while ont the CPOP weekend and i did the same as above but used wire cutters to sut the 2 struts away leaving a little bit to grab with a pliers and then the rest of the splitter just pulls out. Takes about 10 mins.
