I got a puncture on Wednesday night, 320 miles from home!

Managed to get the puncture repaired (just as well as the tyre was less than 1,000 miles old!), but not at my usual place.

The fitter removed the old balancing weights and stuck some new ones on.

Trouble is he left the sticky tape on the inside of my alloys. Anyone know the best way of removing this sticky stuff?

Don't want to strip the lacquer off.

Cheers

Mike

soak the area with normal wheel cleaner and lots of water then all i did/ do with mine is peel it off with my thumb nail. no traces of the pads are left and they had been on there quite a while (just bought the car you and was giving it a full detail)

tyre glue

been in the trade we use wheel buffer but the jo public can not hold of it but if you get a can of lynx and spray onthe the glue and leve it to soke in then reaply again and get a knife and it will lift off with no marks to the wheel hope this helps
