Removing Wipers

Please help - Im trying to take the front wipers off, and they wont come off the spline! Any one got any ideas? Tried levering them up, but the whole linkage moves. Ive also sprayed plenty of WD40 on them, but i dont think its doing much good

Just tried a blowtorch (gentley) and they still wouldnt budge!

There's a special VAG tool to remove them which levers them out. I can imagine they are a bitch to remove by hand if there is any corrosion Just keep trying I guess and try some other penetrating oil instead of WD40 if you have some.

I kept trying for a little longer, then got bored/fedup. Im fitting cruise control and need to get at the wiring behind the bulkhead. Instead ive just spliced straight into the ECU connection!

Ive also just noticed that ive melted a bit of the plastic trim when I 'carfuly' heated the wiper stalk up... Impatcience can be a pain at times
