Hi,

Well today my dad says if i keep the car another year he will pay for my next car (hoping for a new seat :p ) however, the car needs some repairs and im wondering how much it will cost. wonder if anyone could help? Firstly i need a new arb and bushes (already have the items) then i need the console bushes replacing with cupra bushes and finaly the microswitch in the drivers door has stopped working so that needs replacing too. any ideas on what im looking at cost wise?

cheers

Gaz

I'd say 2 - 3 hours labour for the bushes from experience, then I guess another hour for the door?
So around 3 - 4 hours labour + parts.

Edit: Any parts you don't have you can probably price up at vwspares.co.uk to get a better idea.

The arb with worth doing i had mine done recently and it has tightened things up! I suggest getting tracking done after, place i got mine done at wasnt VAG specialist etc. eitherway told me it wouldnt need doing etc. And after a couple of miles i knew it was out, just haven't got round to it yet. Also the microswitch in the door, i have that problem just cannae be bothered to doanything about it atm. If you can afford to do it, keep the car, probably works out cheaper to repair than replace cars :)

Yep there's about 3-4 hours worth of labour in those jobs.
