Right

That plastic lip clips to the leading edge of the housing that the pollen filter sits in. I would also consider moving that cable out of that grommet and using the one that's higher up on the scuttle panel to the back left of the pollen filter. Any water building up due to a blocked drain hole will run nicely into that hole. If that's too much effort, just goop it up with sillycone ;)

mines come apart from the screen in the middle but not at the edge. i have no leak or anything just scared of it leaking now.

Mine has come away aswell, i should'nt worry though as that wont be the problem. your leak will either be the dodgy pollen filter fitment or a leaking door seal! The water you heard sloshing about is probably stuck in the passengers front door.........

Quite a simple repair for the leaky doors once you have them apart.

This then goes on like this i take it?

Yup - from memory that's about right. It stops water from getting into the pollen filter housing and leaking down into the fan and then into the car.

It's a tight fit to get it all in there, if it's being stubborn, heat it with a hairdryer first to soften the rubber :)

Nice one mate, That's the problem i have found where it is leaking... "water getting into the pollen filter and leaking down into the fan and then into the car" When i tested to find the leak the pollen filter was soaked

But now that you have given me the info on where the lip should go and the good idea to use a hairdryer (because it is being a bit of a Pain)
to bent it into the correct position, then hopefully once I've done some small handy work with some silicon as well and then put it all back together correctly then fingers crossed it will no longer leak.

Will see how it goes to mo.... :headhurt:

Thanks for all your time and help UncleFester

yeah i was just worried as seeling the water going in there think im guna take it off n try n push it down properly. but knowing my luck will end up making it worse.
