replacement clutch and flywheel for 07 2.0 TDI FR?

Looking for quick answer

SEAT have refused to offer ANY goodwill payment toward my blown up gearbox. W4nkers.
Dealer reckons it needs new clutch and flywheel as well as gearbox.

Two options - option 1) get second hand or remanufactured gearbox, and fit uprated clutch and flywheel at same time, then stuff it might as well take it to be remapped and have DPF removed.

So quick answer for this does anyone know of/recommend a replacement clutch+flywheel for a potential stage 2 remap?

Option 2) ignore dealer advice, get the gearbox done cheap as possible with original clutch and flywheel and fook the car off for something else. I actually love the car but SEAT have pi$$ed me right off.... Failed injector, Failed gearbox, both under 60k miles and they not willing to help tempted to ram the gearbox down their throat.

What would you do?

Have you full dealer service history? Whilst we all know it isn't, they will probably look at 60k being towards the higher end on a 3yr old car.

No, not full dealer warranty. I am second owner.
First service at SEAT. Then the dealership closed.
Next 3 services Alfa specialist, whom I've spoken to who said he only ever serviced the car, no faults with it, no work done on it. Serviced every 9000 miles. Didnt think it mattered these days if service wasnt done at main dealer?
Last service with SEAT dealer, took it there myself.
Also car was in for diagnostics, with engine light on, 3 weeks ago. They never mentioned any problem with the gearbox.

If you are looking for goodwill gestures from SEAT then one of the things they look for (so I am told) is full SEAT dealer service history - loyalty to the brand and all that!

Yeah but not even 10,20,50% offer? nothing? car is still under mileage, and, when the injector failed they said "well you shouldve took it to a SEAT dealer we could've helped"....so when the gearbox failed I did like they said, and they still won't help.

Goodwill gesture is exactly that - they aren't required to do it, they do it because you've been loyal to the brand and they think you will continue to be so. If the car (through no fault of your own) has been done outside of SEAT then they have no ides what quality of workmanship has been carried out, what parts fitted etc. Plus if they think you'll just go back to the other place, why would they? I know it's gutting when things fail out of warranty (mine did too) but it's just one of those things unfortunately.

So far your only options are:

Standard Clutch + Standard Dual Mass Fly
Sachs Clutch + Standard Dual Mass Flywheel
Sachs Clutch + Helix Single Mass Fly
Helix Clutch and Single Mass fly


obviously if you want comfort and dont want everybody stairing at you then because it sounds like your car is broke then dont get a single mass flywheel,i on the other hand just want power so will be going down the single mass route soon
