Hey Guys

This is my first post on these forums so I hope you all can help me.

I have a Mk5 Ibiza which is just turned one year old. I have had problems recently with my wiperblades with them shuddering and smearing when on. Now I am not sure if it is the carlack sealent kit (like rain-x) I have on the screen but is it advisable to get the wipers replaced after a years use?

If so which are good to replace the ones on the car? I was looking at the Valeo Silencio ones but any advise would be great guys.

If you use the car every day no matter the weather I guess it's plausible that they could be worn.
Just give the blades a quick wipe first then try it.
If not then replace them :)
Valeo or Bosch are good quality products
And don't forget to put them in service mode when lifting them from the screen otherwise you will damage the paint on your bonnet

Also aero blades tend to settle one way so the blade always lies one way. Some of VAG vehicles have APP (alternative park position) which flicks them the other way around every other turn to its equal which way the blade is parked. Our cars dont have it as yet so after a time the blades will judder going one way as they kinda get bent in one direction.

So its worth changing them if cleaning them does not work? Does anybody know which size blades are needed for Bosch aero twins?

Thanks guys, will check them out. Just a quick question though, if I go for the Bosch or Valeo ones will they come with the fixings to fit on the Mk5? I had a look at the ones on the car today and it is like a strange slide clip, will the new ones come with that to fit on the Ibiza?

I was going to mention the MK5 has quite a unique fixing like other modern SEAT cars.

Is there an easy way around this then or does the new wipers come with the fixing? Somebody must have replaced the wipers on a Mk5 :D

Cool where did you get the official ones from and how much? I think I would prefer to go down that route rather than messing around to get others to fit.
