Reservoir Tank

Hi all

What is the function of the globe shaped vacuum reservoir tank, rear drivers side engine bay. Brakes, Dump valve, Both, other ?
Got a leak at the seal where hose enters front of the globe

No not that one, the one embedded under the scuttle, black with hose entering front. ta anyway..

..any ideas folks? I am assuming functions with both brakes and other ancillaries but don't get to see her in daylight at moment so not traced hoses (yet)

The brake fluid reservoir is around there somewhere......

Do you mean the brake servo? Large black drum shaped cylinder?

DPJ - That's more likely. Does it feed anything else though? i.e. What feeds the vacuum for the dump valve etc.

The takeoff from the inlet manifold splits in two - one branch goes to the brake servo, the other serves DV etc.
