Retrofit multifunction steering wheel

I just wanted to know if it is possible to change my 2005 steering wheel to a multifunction steering wheel. I have changed the head unit to the mp3 compatible one. Is it just a case of switching steering wheels and plugging it into the head unit?

You wish it would be the case.
unfortunately it's nothing even close, you'll have to do some wiring to the electrics module and maybe ECU

I made a full retrofit video for my polo 9n, they never came with steering wheel controls from factory so I had to use the Ibiza system, the process will be the exact same as they are effectively the same car.
