Hi guys
New to this awesome forum, have a question about possible retrofitting parts off a 2012 Leon fr into my 2007 fr. Is it possible to fit RNs 315, heater controls, flat bottom silver wheel , clocks into my car. I understand you need new canbus module and mfsw control unit to get these working, but the mfsw unit is upgraded on the 2012 fr, so could I take the whole unit with the slip ring and stalks then fit into my 2007 fr. Already have the RNs unit, heater controls, canbus, and flat bottom wheel out of 2012 fr ,also have all the plastic trim for dash. So can this be done or is it not worth the hassle. Cheers Marty.:confused:

You can definitely fit the heater controls, RNS and steering wheel.

Not sure on the clocks though.

Cheers Daniel you were correct about clocks, different plug , got these parts out of a 2012 mk2 Leon, rns315, heater controls, clocks, wiper/ indicator stalks complete with IGN key ,slip ring and control module, plus engine ecu fr TDI and flat bottom silver mfsw thinking they would go straight in. Wrong oh well will just sell the parts I can't use then buy the correct parts I need to fit my 2007 fr . Can anyone tell me if airbag harness 5po 971 584 f will do the job, came with wheel. I now understand I need part number 1KO 953 549 CH swcm , 1KO 959 653C slip ring and do I need to change wiper stalk so it will not conflict with MFD as the mfsw also has buttons for MFD. Any help appreciated would like to talk to somebody that's already had this done. Thanks

Hi Marty, Alex, haven't got time to check myself now as have a work meeting, but the swop has defo been done before. Have a good search as i am sure there was quite a lot of detail on here (few years ago though).
