Hi,

I test drove an FR TDI at Frosts (Shoreham) a while back and one of the things the sales guy mentioned was that the leons come over with a some kind of limiter programmed as standard (revs i guess) and they remove this as part of the PDI.

Does this sound right to you?

Thanks,

Craig

Hmmm I didn't test to see if the car I drove (FR TDI) had a limiter.

Maybe it's programmed in to something like 7k for TFSI engines which is way too high for a diesel. I don't know why it would be removed though for PDI, maybe just changed to kick in lower?

My TFSI definatly has a rev limiter, I suspect the diesels would have one too.

sounds like you mean while being transported to you to stop you car park oinks shagging around in new motors.

The diesels have a limiter - I bounce off mine from time to time :D
