Reverse?

right, not sure if it supposed to but, dads new sportrider turns the fans up to higher when you put the car into reverse, then once your back out of first it goes back to where it was set too

anyone elses mk4 do this? or does it look like we got a little bit of cross connection in the wiring somewhere?

It puts the ventilation system into recirc so you don't get all the exhaust gases you are driving through sucked into the car.

It's normal.

yeah fan goes into recirculation mode when the car is put in to reverse so it doesn't draw fumes into the car
