My 2018 Leon FR has a white reversing light at the bottom of each rear light cluster. The nearside has a bulb & works; the driver's side has what looks like 3 LEDs & doesn't work - is this a dummy light? Is this how it should be?

Now checked car will all lights on.

Left side (looking from rear) is a white bulb for reversing light. Right is 3 LEDs that shine red as a rear fog light.

Still wonder why reversing light is a bulb when the relevant brochure states all rear lights are LED.

Seriously?

'Cos they lie ! ;)
Change it for an decent LED. The standard bulb puts out less lumens than a knackered glow worm.

Unfortunately the one I fitted (from Amazon) is no longer available. It wasn't brilliant but better than the cig dimp bulb fitted as standard. Make sure however what you fit is CAN-bus error free then it won't spring a bulb warning due to being non standard fit.

I used the Osram W16W LED bulbs.

A slight improvement over stock, but the tinted windows (FR & Cupra)/low lumen output from a smaller single bulb on the facelift is a poor design feature.

I would have posted a link, but these appear as rare as PS5s on the net at the moment!

I fitted the Twenty20 one from autobulbsdirect. Not cheap, but great output and no CANbus error.

Anyone's dab affected in reverse with led bulbs? I know it doesn't really matter for a few seconds but wondered if it's just a bulb or every bulb problem.

It's your specific bulb that is causing that, transmitting interference and the DAB signal isn't strong to start with.

Try another bulb, the cheap Chinese ones are very hit and miss.

Has anyone replaced their reversing bulb with a 955 (W16W) White Philips Ultinon Pro6000 LED Bulb from autobulbsdirect? I'm tempted to try it because I see that some of the reviews on their website for the other suggested option 955 / 921 Twenty20 Impact Canbus LED 12V W16W Bulb say that it has some issues with fitting.
Mine is a '69 plate Mk3 Leon estate.
