After a few months of wondering if to keep my cupra or buy a cupra R, i decided to keep her and splash some money on it. I am aiming on having the nicest MK1 cupra on here but bare with me it might take a while.
Anyway i kept it near enough standard for a year as my insurance didnt like mods but as soon as i switched companys the modding bug came and hit me
When i went to first see the Leon
Fell in love with it, as it was only my second car and a big step up from my old one, i had to buy it.
Few pics when i bought it home
Car sat on my drive for a few weeks while i sold my other car, while it was there i painted the calipers red and changed all the tires as well.
Also polished the inlet manifold
Didnt do much to it for a few months after that, just enjoying the power!!! but soon got bored and added a jetex cone, hid's, fabia rear wiper and also a LCR splitter (Pictures of these will follow later as i didnt take any when i first bought them)
This is where i started to spend a bit of money on her now
Had time off work so decided to spray my starfishes Vauxhall moonland grey for something a little bit different rather than black or anthrecite.
I then decided to prepare for a remap as this was the point i was asking myself whether to keep her or buy an LCR, but thought sod ill remap it and see if i change my mind, and glad i did as it felt like a new car again
Before the remap i bought a forge 008p DV from awesome gti
After fitting the DV i gave the rocker cover a bit of matte black VHT paint and polished the top section to go with the inlet mani
Next day i was up early for an 8.30 booking at AMD, dropped the keys off with them for a few hours
And a few hours later i got to see the leon on the rollers, they had a few problems with it as it wasnt getting the results i was hoping for, they said i had a slight boost leak and needed a new MAFS
Couple on the rollers
The results which i didnt think were too bad for a stage 1 and one of the hottest days of this year!!
Next day became sticker and carbon day so slapped these on the windows to show my support lol
Also that day i got sick of the gold facia so thought id spray it in black magic and came out better than i expected
Before
Facia off
Result
Next up was the CM TIP as i could tell with the remap that it was very restrictive as every tells you on here, and also what a pig of a job it was. Definalty not a one man job but had my dad by my side to help me
After a lot of sweat, cuts and swearing it was finally on
comparison
The difference was not as much as i was expecting but it felt a little bit smoother
More coming tomorrow!!!
