Mikkijdb and Derbian hows it going with the 7 digit upgrade? All ok, all other media elements working ok?

Hi guys.

Everything is good here.

Sat nav has been fine. Maps still loading as quickly as before. Tested the postcodes on a few occasions and it has found them all.

Nothing to report on the rest of the system either. Radio, Aux, Sd card, and phone all seem to be unaffected by the update.

Let me know if anybody else takes the plunge.

How long did it take for delivery of the cd? I'm thinking of ordering ahead of my return to the UK...

I put mine in today, didnt have to do anything. Within 5 minutes it was all updated, and voila! a full postcode available. All other elements of the RNS-E system seem unnafected. The discs took two days to arrive, so very impressed with that. I had actually come across this site about 9 months ago, but just assumed it was one of those too good to be true scenarios.

Have got mine, updated the software and new dvd works a treat, 7 digit postcode is a life saver, have used it for touring the sites around Northumbria today all good so far. Speed / red light cameras also working well though they do only show on the sat nav screen so you have to keep an eye on that, would be better if it did announce them or showed them on the dash display but its better than not having them. Everything else works fine, even retains the locations that we're already in the memory and loads just as fast as before.

Am guessing its not a VAG version as i accidentally dropped some chocolate on the disc (label side up) and when i wiped it off with a wet tissue it smudged a load of the label writing off.

All in all a truly fantastic find, the lack of 7 digit post code was my one major bugbear with the car.

Mikkijdb, you're the forum star of the year finding this!

Been using it for a week now and travelled just short of 1000 miles through North of Scotland. Everything seems to work perfectly.
A 6 digit postcode gave me problems as I'd forgotten to put a blank space in after the 1st 3 digits but once I remembered it was OK

Some of the lane guidance inserts seem to be better as well but that might be my imagination

On another note Inverness seems to have more Exeo's than you'd expect. Spotted 3 in the large Tesco's carpark at the same time which must be some sort of record.

Received here also,

Inserted software CD, update took a few minutes onfe it registered. System rebooted and prompted to insert navigation medium.

Played with some postcodes, all seem fine but still have to select street (only one on list now)

Just have 2 queries,

1. The car software version now displays HXX or something similar. Anyone else have this?

2. The disc seems to spin..a lot...anyone else have this?

Ps. If allowed, im pretty sure a copy of this cd will do the job for other people. Who fancies a try? ;)

Ordered my copy at 4.55pm yesterday and it arrived this morning........can't ask for better service really!!

Installed the software update with no issues and the new disc works just the same as my old one. All previous destinations in the memory have been retained and no loss of any other functions.

Tried a few 7 digit postcode searches today that I know are family or friends and each one gave me the exact road name as well.

All in all, for £31.90 including superfast delivery, I would recommend.

Does anyone know the differences between the SW version 200 and the updated SW version 220? I guess there must be some otherwise why the update?

Yep my is version H06, not noticed it spinning a lot, then again have had the radio on and people in the car so may not have noticed it.

I had to go to a couple of places out 'in the sticks' last couple of days and the postcode didn't have a street associated with it.

The solution is a bit long winded but does work.

After putting in the postcode press special destination (the only option not greyed out)

Then press find entry

Then flick the wheel round to list and the postcode appears again.

Press on the postcode and then set as destination.

Hi Guys, I'm encouraged by those who've taken the plunge to update their sat nav systems. I'd like to do the same. Just so I get it right, which disk from the Audi menu should I go for? Obviously the full set would replace the original disk set from seat. Did anyone chose to replace both disks or just the UK disk? If so I guess the original EU disk would not work after system update...?
I guess it's "elementary" for some, I'm just painfully cautious

I purchased the following: AUDI RNS-E Navigation Plus 2015 Euro Map DVD update set of 2 with full UK postcode, I chose DVD 1 & 2 which covers enough for me. I also had the update to SW:220, loaded everything up at the weekend and all ok

Disks arrived today. Apparently I've already had the system update (last seat service) so need to update. The disks loaded quickly. A long road trip awaits this weekend so it'll be a good to see how it works...

Just returned from 2 weeks in the south of France and the new updated discs didn't let me down once over the 1800 miles that we covered. If you are thinking of buying the updated discs, do it as I have not had any issues.

On another note, this car just continues to amaze me....1800 miles travelled to the south of France and back with an average 50 MPG on the way home, sitting at 85 MPH with 4 people in the car plus all the luggage.

I have to change it soon and only wish that they still made this fantastic car as I would have another one, no question!

Contacting the seller and reading positive reviews here I promptly ordered mine. Will share my experience with the update once discs arrived. There will be trip to the continent coming up soon so I will update on how it works on a long journey abroad.

Well guys this is what a good forum like this should be about. I have just ordered my disks and eagerly awaiting them. Got a trip to France planned next weekend, they should be just what the doctor ordered.
