yes but would an insurer look at it like that,i got caught out by fitting a standard stainless steal exhaust,not performance at all,but because it was stainless they charged me extra as they said it increased the bhp of the car.total bollox as it was the same size,same shape as the standard one i took off.i explained this and the reason for buying it was so it would last longer than a mild steel one,they didnt buy it.

so maybe a show cage to them would be classed as just a roll cage there as for motorsport purposes.

Its still a metal structure in the car and an loss adjuster can tell the difference?

I know which one i'd choose:)

every modification needs to be declared to the insurance companies. mines insured as a show cage which doesnt add to the premium. a roll cage however in most cases does increase it!

as said above a show cage does what it says on the tin. it can be put in or taken out VERY easily without cutting or welding.

if you were to say why buy something that looks good rather than something that goes in the same place but actually does a job!! you could look at a lot of things, for example a spoiler!!

those switches to control some actuators by any chance?

no mate just taken out most of what was in when i had to change my fuel pump. dont think ill be putting them back in tbh.

them switches were in before and controlled the tvs and stuff.
