rona 2020 Removing Start and Stop does not work well

Hi, I have Arona 2020, I removed the Start and Stop functionality via the guide with ODB11, the value was correctly replaced to 12.0.

Before the modification at every stop in traffic and at traffic lights, the car always turned off, instead after the modification it turns off randomly when I stop, a bit it doesn't turn off and a bit it turns off.

Why does it do this?


Disable Start/Stop
1. Select Control unit 19 (Gateway)
2. Security access > Access Code: 20103
3. Adaptation
4. Name: Start/stop start voltage limit
5. Change value from 7.6 V to 12 V

I want to disable it.
The standard value is 7.6 and I changed to 12

I found an alternative method, but for VW Golf Mk7, could it work on Arona?

(1) Temperature Method
These instructions were sourced from the Golfmk7.com site. Grateful acknowledgement to the author "Allenlin" who has said that the VCDS tweak was developed on a 103TDI. Allenlin has produced a short video which shows that SS has been disabled (see the link below) I have implemented this tweak on my mkVII, and I can vouch that it works.


1. Enter 19-CAN Gateway

2.Click on Adaptation-10

3. From drop-down channel list select (1)-Start/Stopp Auntemperaturvorgabe-Minimaltemperatur (it's almost at end of channel list)

• In New value box, enter 50 (default stored value = -50.0)
• Click Do it! tab
• Click Add to Log to save a copy of the change

4.From drop-down channel list select (2)-Start/Stopp Auntemperaturvorgabe-Maximaltemperatur (it's almost at end of channel list)

• In New value box, enter 50 (default stored value = -50.0)
• Click Do it! tab
• Click Add to Log to save a copy of the change

I would agree, the Memory module is a much better solution as you can turn it on or off and it remembers how you had it set last time.
