Mine doesn't have that support anyway you'll be fine! I need this snow to bugga off to test my new tyres
Getting ready for my mapping day tomorrow i've been out and made up a 'doggy bag' of bodge fix bits incase anything lets go
Emptied the catch can, topped up the oil and checked everything over
On m way back i thought id get the laptop, remove limp mode and do 1 run premap so i can compare tomorrow
Hey presto, 204.92 g/s @ limp mode kicking in which equates to 256.1bhp, not bad for an OE map
Also the garrett FMIC seems to be doing a nice job with a top AIT of 8 with -1.5 ambient and no correction factors
Will post up some logs tomorrow to compare

Ok, so had the new set of tyres fitted this morning then a tootle to Bill's
Started off with a smoke test, all fine but a tiny one from the N75 to TIP connection
So Bill then loaded a base map as a starter but when ran up on the rollers it pulled CF's of 12, so bill pulled the timing back to OE at the top of the rev range where the CF's got too high
The next run was better but still high CF's so the timing was pulled back a bit more
Have a bit of theory on why this is happening though, my exhaust has been on for approximately 3 years or so with no problems or lights
Around april time it started popping and banging much more than usual and the EML came on with cat below efficiency fault
Thinking now that the cat has died and is partially blocking the exhaust when its flowing top end causing a bottleneck and increased EGT's
Hopefully going to drop the cat in the next week or so and look at whats left, maybe even DIY decat it
So the two runs done with map in its final form came out at
1. 269.1bhp 279.5lbft
2. 266.0bhp 270lbft
So after this was set we went out for a quick roadtest, all was good, Bill said he saw 226g/s so intake is flowing fine just getting it out is the problem
Also decided to monitor pressure drop from the chargepipe through the pipework, across the garrett core to the inlet, this yielded a drop of 3-4psi under full load which Bill informed me was very good
Next was the gear based boost control
This was loaded to the ECU and can be turned on or off via a combination of pedals with ignition cycling
As a bit of a test only 1st and 2nd were limited, 3rd upwards were left as is but BT cars will benefit from these
First gear was clipped and boosted to approx 7-8psi, second gear was then holding about 10psi
After some on the road trials first gear was extended to 10psi and second to about 14psi
This allows pulling away with traction easy in first and clips the spike causing traction loss in second
This allows you to fully plant it in the first two gears and utilise it fully without torque steering and spinning everywhere
I'll have to try it out over the next week and report back

I was happy with the results but it was a shame the timing couldnt be added at the top to make it really savage.
Just been out showing barn the gear based boost and even in damp conditions its just on the limit of traction so really useful, seems very worthwhile so far when you need to pick up speed quickly from moving slowly
Time will tell, but being as i can switch it on and off you could almost have a rainy day GBB system

Just a quicky, think i've asked you before. Have you bolted your battery box down or welded it? I'm thinking of just spot welding / tacking it to the floor rather than drilling holes through the floor! Don't really fancy a boot with a load of holes in it.
