I've got a Leon ST which has roof rails, and Thule roof bars. At the moment they're attached at the same point that the Seat bars do (about 700mm apart).
Question is - since the rails go back a lot further - is it ok to attach the bars anywhere on the rails? Is the default position reinforced?
I'm just thinking that if I put a 10 or 11 foot standup paddleboard on the roof it would be more stable if the bars were further apart.
