I thought I'd show off my pride and joy a bit and let every one know what ive done :)

The first thing I changed was the tyres, the Bridgestones I got OEM were making the ride choppy and giving up to easy in fast bends so I replaced them with Continental Sport Contact 2's cost £500 but soooo much better :)

Next was the lights I found them very yellow and swapped the Sides for these

Inner x2 CANBUS error free LED 501s http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Outer x2 Ultra white 501s http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

and the rear number plates for these

and the head lamps got these

ok car is off the road atm cause of serious wheel wobble and crunching noise coming from the brakes :(

Ive taken both wheels off and put them back on so make sure everything was straight and ordered 11mm forge spacers and extended bolts so give the calipers more spacer.

After re fitting the wheels all the crunching stopped apart from a slight squeak.....but i think thats the brakes bedding in...only done 30 miles on new brakes.....but there is still wheel wobble at 70+ mph

so the plan is to get the wheels balanced tomorrow make sure they are ok and too fit the spacers and hope that solves my problem :)......its been a bad week haha!

Ok wheel spacers and bolts on....seems to have cured everything but a small squeak on the passenger wheel brake.... hopefully just the brakes bedding in :)

Looking good pal

Cheers bud, the lights were thanks to your help lol :p

brakes still squealing in reverse on full lock :S think the calipers are catching the discs so its going back to the garage tomorrow to file down the calipers and make sure they were fitted correctly

Just thought id post the probs and the solutions to the probs i had fitting my brembos incase any1 else suffers the same:

BAD WHEEL WOBBLE CONSTANT SQUEAKING AND GRINDING - caused by the spacers being to small and the caliper catching the wheel weights and ripping them off and the calipers slightly grinding the discs. Solution i got 11mm forge spacers with extended bolts from dpm performance (AMAZING SERVICE) and got the wheels re balanced this solved the wheel wobble.

SQUEAKING AND GRINDING
- after 500 miles i couldnt still blame the metalic grinding on full lock on bedding in...so another trip to the garage for a take them off and put them back on please "PROPERLY" revealed that "grit" had fallen on the disc causing it to score it but only on full lock...i think in the mechanics haste some muk had fallen onto the pads or disc during the original installation and he hadnt noticed causing it to score the discs hence the metal grinding sound.
Since they have been cleaned and re-fitted if im being REALLY fussy there is a small squeak sometimes when they pads are cold but its not noticable above road noise and is most likely due to the high perfornace nature of the pads.

The stopping power of the brembos is much better than the standard brakes and they look AMAZING but the most noticable difference is the lack of fade :) the spacers have also improved feed back thru the steering wheel as well

all in all including fitting and spacers the cost was £613 and it has improved the car hugely!! i am not confident when i hit the brakes that the car WILL slow down and not just over heat the brakes

the car was still slightly pulling to the left and a weeeeeeee bit of wheel wobble so I had sat afternoon off work and it was pretty good weather so I pulled on "me trackies" (awfy slang of me haha) and 2 pairs of socks (I get cold feet :p) and went out for a look to make sure brakes discs pads callipers suspension tyres wheels etc were all in working order......didn’t take me long to discover the problem

got the wheels re balanced this solved the wheel wobble.

NO THEY F'IN HADN'T Both front wheels weights were a state the original seat weights were still on and there were bits of weights attached some full some halved some just completely ripped off, now I know the ripping off etc may have been caused by the callipers originally catching the weights (shoot happens), however there is now more than enough clearance, I had a good look, none of the weights were new and all showed considerable signs of use so from that I can assume that the wheels weren’t rebalanced at all!

I’ve rotated the wheels (front on back back on front) and the back wheels WERE balanced correctly and now there is no pulling no wobbling.....I’m raging about the customer service and after care I seem to receive from garages for my 2 old cars (fords) peoples ford Falkirk parts and service dept were absolutely shocking worst service I have ever received.....W. Livingston Uddingston where I bought my cupra were grate sales wise I knew exactly what was going on with my order (TOP NOTCH) but after care wise I was very disappointed as I took them 5 attempts to fix a small rattle in my boot...it was only a plastic vent that had become unclipped if I had the confidence to remove the rear bumper I would of done it myself!!! so I started using morrisons Stirling they fixed the vent 1st time and did my 1st service (wasn’t too bad but it felt very rushed as I got it done on a sat) and I got my spoiler fitted there too again they were alright but I felt if I’d done it myself it would have been a better job (sadly I don’t have the tools lol) but what annoyed me with them is when I was enquiring about the spoiler I got treated like I was wasting their time...not about to spend £200+ there and when I needed new tyres I called 5 times and always got promised a call back but never got one and then the independent that did my brakes has chipped a significant portion of the red paint off the calliper dropped something on the pad to cause the scoring and didn’t balance my wheel....[:@]:wtf:

I think I'm going to try an independent VAG specialist next time autohause Edinburgh have always been friendly when ive talked to them about maybe getting a revo so ill give them a shot for my 20K service in a month or so.......hope my back luck with garages improves :help:
