Hi pips just looking for some advice of what Rolling Roads i can go to to get my car checked over. I have a terrible whistle under high load and want to pin point its location so i can eliminate it.

What i need to know is are there any RR’s around the London area that i can get the car on the rollers to have it held on boost to find this? As i think most RR just do power runs and not diagnostics? I know i could more or less take it to any RR to have this done but if im paying out the cash id rather take it to someone who knows what there doing.

Any help would be great

Scott

Scott, Engine Advantages in Witham are excellent I am taking my car there in a couple of weeks just to see where I am at...

Can give you their phone number if you like?

I think your best bet is to take a trip to Milton Keynes and go and see Martin at Marlin Engineering, they are spot on

If you want details let me know! You could always say your from SeatCupra.net and you know me as he will remember from when i had the Rolling Road Day there as i have had to speak to him since about the magazine feature ;)

Huh? What have you heard? Surely its best to make your own decision?

Scott Engine Advantages have their own leon 20VT that they have done all sorts to, so they defo know their way around it....and its Onvi!!!!

I rekon they are prob about 40 mins from you on a good run...

As for cost they quoted me between £30 and £50 dependant on what I had done

Ha ha been to that one before but dont think i will be going back as they really didnt know how the VAG cars run etc
They gave a 1.4 over 200bhp!

Yeah i know thats really why i was asking if anyone had suggestions on who could.

Ive had one quote so far but its 4 weeks before i can get her in

I have used PTS about 50 times over the last 6 years with no problems ;)

I have a 1bhp difference from PTS & Engine Advantages who are also good :)

its all down to personal preferance, and from previous dealings I would never ever go there......or to the tuners next door!
