running trouble

hi my leon cupra has a intermittent running problem, every now and then it gets a missfire. i have noticed it happends more if i put my foot down and then in the morning it runs shite. any ideas i have put new plugs in back in the summer when i serviced it, i used Iridium plugs.....
any ideas on what it might be ????

Have exactly the same issue sounds like a subaru whilst idling and also lumpy especially when it is cold, my engine light hadnt come on but my mates vag software proved that it is a coil pack, i am currently looking into finding a new one.

i changed one of my coil packs before, got it from the local VW dealership. if i recal only cost about £30....
