Screeching noise help

Screeching noise on boost help?
Basically it makes a really loud screeching sound on boost, although its boosting fine no blue smoke either, i know it needs a remap due to it having k03s fitted. I just recently had the downpipe re welded and seems its only done this after thats been done, but took it back and they said the welding is fine and has no leaks? Mines k03s and still running a stage. K03 based map so wont be map related.

I havn't checked the actuator as its boosting correctly how would i check this if it was to be that? Also whats a TIP ? Not bery good with short term sayings mate.

Defo sounds like boost is leaking. How you tested for leaks

Ok i see ive had the side off where induction is off and where it attaches to the fan bit on turbo & it all ok there is a lil split where a piece has been blanked off but dont think its all the way through silicone.. Not 100% gonna doible check that.. So confusing as this noise only happens when cars hot.

Take your air filter off start the car out your hand over the pipe where filter normally is if it stalls should be fine, if it makes a high pitch noise and still stalls you have a leak if it doesnt stall you have a big leak lol

Cheers denzil ill do that tommorow have checked for leaks couldnt come across any to hand lets see if that works

Ok i did this and car stalls no leaks? Any other ideas? Does it about 2500 rpm the loader afterwards

Sounds like more load is opening it up check your vac pipes when I had this I just bought enough to change every bit of vac pipe on mine sorted the issue. Check under the inlet mani near the altetnator there's 2 pipes could be one of them.

Check pcv pipe under the mani, bout the middle, goes right then down to a t peice with a one way valve, they normally split and cause a leak... Mine was leaking when I bought it and for long time after it till I worked out there was a loss of peak psi boost.

Mine sounds like that not as loud though just like a nice spool up sound. I've got one tiny tiny tiny leak on my tip! Only the hardest part to get to like. I actually like it, sounds good lol

Ok so done these checks and they are all ok tightend al jubilee clips on cars and cant come across any leaks any ither ideas its so annoying :-(

Smoke test i think is the only real 100% way of knowing for sure.

Could have the carbon canister pipe come off the TIP. I had this.

Not 100% on this as the mechanic who welded the downpipe back together said theres no leaks there but sounded useless lol!

So this is confusing basically only does this noise when the engine warms ip? So maybe something expands and is letting boost out? Defently going to have to take it to a mechanic i think
