Seals blown on turbo - what are my options?

Hey Guys

I've been told that the seals have blown on my turbo and that I will need a new one. I have a 2003 Seat Cupra.

Should I get Seat to replace my turbo like for that, or is their other options I can consider?

I was more looking for make and models of turbos that people have brought, and if it would just be better sticking with the standard turbo.

Have a look in the Big Turbo section - there are quite a few threads there covering upgrades.

I had to replace mine - went for an ATP Eliminator.

I know nothing about turbo replacements but I did read about a K04-1 Turbo 'bolt on upgrade' from http://www.theengineshop.info/ for £750

Now couldn't see anything on the website but they were in this month's Golf+ mag with the offer

I had to replace the turbo unit on my fiat coupe........ your options are to send your turbo off to get new seals and for a recon, to exchange your old turbo unit for a new one but you still need to pay few hundred quid or go for a turbo upgrade...... depending on your cash circumstances. Do your self a favour and call turbo technics in northampton (great guys with great help)
