Looking for some advice on an issue I'm having. With seat altea xl
It's a 2012 1.6 diesel auto.
Up until recently has been a fantastic car.
But in last 6 months has developed a fault trying to start.
Car will turn over and run then cut out. It is almost like the immobiliser is still active.
Other times it will just not start
But if left for half an hour it starts okay
It has been to garage several times.
The rail injector has been replaced twice .
Once by me and once by previous owner.
Each time it goes to garage they cant find the fault .
But have suggested it might be a fault in the high pressure pump.
Which is serious money . Which I dont mind spending it is is the actual fault.
I have recently had the timing belt and water pump replaced and currently have 67000 miles on clock the fuel filter has also been changed
