When I got my Ibiza, second hand not far off two years old I was promised breakdown cover for a year, indeed it says ALL Seat Approved Used Cars come with it on the website. Its been 5 weeks now and nothing in the post. I keep checking with the AA and they have recieved nothing, the breakdown on it expires in a few weeks (the original 2 yr cover) so Im wanting it sorted. Phoned the dealer a few times and they said they'll look into it. Anyone any idea how long it usually takes to come through etc? Cheers

I had this problem with an exFord (Channel islands) Fiesta as they come at 3 months old with 3,000 miles with NO Ford warranty. The Mitsi dealer "gave" me a 12 month warranty that started when I bought the car - but would not exist until I had my first problem!?! Luckily I did not have any problems! I'd say do as suggested and phone the helpline as the dealer should have transferred the "owner" details - its just a pity that you were not sent some form of conformation to give you a "warm" feeling.

If you phone the "Seat Assist" number they will tell you if it is covered. The number sould be in the documents somewhere as the car would have originally had 2 yrs cover, they only need the registration number and are pretty helpfull.
My wifes ibiza and my old Leon 03/and 53plates came with 5 yrs. As far as I am aware If you break down you would call "seat assist" not the AA, and they would forward your breakdown details to whoever their contract is at the time, which currently is the AA?

cheers guys i'll check it out. The only number I had was the temporary membership card which gets you through to the AA, he could onyl confirm it was covered under the original 2 years, nothing else had been recieved. See what Seat Assist have to say.
