Seat belt Removal and Changing

it's simple enough to remove the belts. The problems are; the seat belt chime needs turning off, the side air bags plugs need resistors fitted, and as the front belts plug in, that issue needs resolving to avoid the airbag light staying on. Space for race seats is very tight, new belt anchorage points need to be made for the inner front and a bar at the rear. My seats are fixed and do not adjust, this saves weight and cost. The weight saving is massive and is the main reason my car is so quick on the 1/4 mile.

Would have been cheaper to get them from the start go to your local dealers and ask them to order some they can do it

Ahh right hmm I'm wondering if they're available for older models then, I know the shape hasn't changed that much so they may still fit

Hi mate, I'm keen to retro fit the red belts in mine too however I'm not sure if it's worth it. Could you post a picture of yours for me so I can see what they look like with the seats? I'm thinking they would look alright, but I want to be sure.

Cheers.

Good news I found out that the seatbelts should fit according to the mechanics in the workshop and I also found out how much it's going to be to buy the set... For the front it is £232 per side, £98 per side for the rear L/R and £160 for the rear middle so it's a grand total of £820
