Raised a fault ticket with the Connect desk. Looks like it was back up by Friday.
Not impressed with Seat in that they seemed unaware of any issue. Thought there IT/back office team would have been aware. Reckon it was down for 3 days.

As you say, it was up after a few days. Although my note to SEAT was acknowledged, I have still not had a reply or comment. However, Since it has been back on-line, I have had constant difficulties in getting it to connect. It is still not right. Perhaps somewhere there is guide for 'CONNECT' as the few pages in the manual are hardly adequate

I do not believe that SEAT were unaware. It is noticable that since it has been back on line, the the current version is now 1.9.1 ( previous to the downtime, it was 1.9.0 or 1.90) so it has been upgraded (?) to a new version.

I have had my SEAT Ibiza ( and Seat Connect) for 3 weeks. Potentially Connect is a good system, but it has been very badly created and needs a great deal more work to make it better (and faster). I see that it will cost £130 to keep it after the first 12months. At the moment I wouldnt think of keeping it if Seat PAID ME £130 to do so

It is a thought on paying for the connect

Meant to ask if the infotainment is behaving ok as wife mentioned that radio had changed itself and when I was in car I noticed the display scrolling between Seat logo to log in. Reset ok when switched off and left for a few minutes

No I havent experienced any change in Radio, nor can i see the display problems you refer to

The system itself is still not adequate, nor working properly. Today, I have tried logging on regularly for the last 24 hours but all i now get is "Sorry, something went wrong Please try again later". As I say, 24 hours and checked regularly, how much later (!) But Why, what is wrong. This is huge multinational company (VW) that is selling vehicles using this connect system. Does it work anywhere, and if so, why not SEAT

So far, A useless bit of tech.

This!! I use the app a lot but today it's not working at all which is a real pita for me as I like to schedule the charging etc. I've paid 2 years upfront for the app too. I've not really had any issues for months but the lack of communication such as 'we're aware of a problem and working on it' or 'site down for maintenance' etc. would be useful. Not good enough SEAT/CUPRA .

It appears clear that SEAT and VW do not care. No responses to enquiries and no indication why this is not working. Still not received anything from SEAT to my enquiry.
Thnk I will take it up with the Car distributor where I bought it from - they sold it and it is, ultimately, their responsibilty. (I know they cannot actually do anything, but they should be in a better position to get SEAT to up their game...it is actually their responsibility as sellers)
Checked again this morning (18/11) and there is STILL no connection after more than 24 hours. You indicate that you had no issues for months - i have had my IBIZA EXCELLENCE for 3 weeks and not had a day when it worked properly, and many days when in did not work at all.

The infotainment centre, and some other controls & connections are very poor compared to my last EXCELLENCE some 3+ years ago.

Agreed, I've just tried the app again and still not working either.
When I said I've had no issues I meant generally I've been able to do what I need with it. However I've had glitches such as it tells me the car is unlocked on occasion when its not and it lost the Preferred Service Partner for some weeks. There's a thread on here about the latter and plenty of others about the poor performance of the app and VAG!
I too have put a complaint in. If I get a reply I'll let you know.
For me the infotainment has had no issues since a software upgrade in May. I find it quick to respond and I'm used to the touch controls now. I would still prefer traditional switches/knobs for things like the A/C though.
My car, a Formentor e-Hybrid was 1 year old in June, that's when I renewed the app subscription.

Update: I've actually had a reply from the CUPRA Connect people. No doubt the same issue for SEAT Connect. Here's their response:

Sadly, we are facing with an unplanned outage. Our technical department informed about the issue, and they are already working on solution.

We kindly ask you to be patient, and try to log in later again.

I checked and wifes Seat connect and my Cupra connect not able to log in.
Agree with the poor response. As ex service manager from telecoms corporate world I have to stop myself going back into work mode. Where is the back up server/ software as the down time for the last outage and this on is unacceptable.

Wifes Ibiza had infotainment issue again with screen going from radio to blank to Seat logo and back again.
I still have the SOS error message on my Cupra Ateca but can live with that as hitting the SOS button and then cancelling when it activates is workaround for waking up system. The same fault is on all VAG group as daughter has SOS issue on her Skoda Kadiq. Figure it is a mobile sim issue in the car that confuses the software and locks up the internal bus which eventually affects the satnav if left long enough.

Need to shout at dealer!!

Well, almost 3 days without access. Just accessed it again this afternoon (18/11) and it is now allowing access again BUT a new version, this time 1.9.2. Very often when a change is made the developers indicate what the changes are and why. SEAT/CUPRA, no indication...I wonder why... do they actually know or care?...i think not

I have had my SEAT for 3 weeks and CONNECT has not been working or even available for around half that time

How long before it goes down again !!!!!!
