Will be putting a new stereo on my mk1 leon, question is..do i buy a genuine seat DIN plate, or an aftermarket one ? Always been under the impression OEM fits better.

Also seen a stereo i like but..its smaller than a standard CD player, so it has its own plastic adapter thing to make it into full size...so if i went this route it would be..SEAT din, then a pioneer din then finally the player, will this look stupid ? The stereo does everything i want it to do im just bothered about what it will look like !

if your putting in an aftermarket cd player you will need a wiring adaptor and a radio booster as the standard unit has one built in i think i bought a kit from ebay and it was about £15 i did however need another radio wire adaptor but got one from ebay for £1.99

youll also need a fascia adaptor matey... autoleads will do one.

damn it beaten to it... that looks like a decent piece of kit, good value also.

here it is fitted

My dad will sort all that, its his job lol, Just wondered what it would look like having an adapter, then another then the cd player.
