You need to check out the instructions at the start of the document and look at your Nav unit but my guess is that it'll be 5F000358XXA as this is the code for new Leons (5F).

In case the German is challenging here's the translation:
3. HOW TO CHECK WHICH KIND
OF RADIO/SAT NAV YOU HAVE
4. HOW TO IDENTIFY THE BLUETOOTH
SOFTWARE INSTALLED
WITH MY RADIO/SAT NAV
6. Notes
Bluetooth telephone compatibility
with hands-free system
MEDIA SYSTEM TOUCH / COLOR
7. DATE OF MANUFACTURE
LATER THAN MAY 27TH 2013
WITH D220 BLUETOOTH VERSION
15. DATE OF MANUFACTURE
LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 24TH 2012
WITH D210 BLUETOOTH VERSION
Bluetooth telephone compatibility
with hands-free system
MEDIA SYSTEM PLUS / NAVI SYSTEM
23. Date of manufacture
later than May 27th 2013
31. Date of manufacture
between SEPTEMBER 24th 2012
And May 27th 2013

STEP 1:
- Press the Menu button
- Select Settings
- System Information
- Check the Part No. and Software No.
STEP 2:
- If your Part No. is 5F0035858A, 5F0035846A, 5F0035834A
or 5F0035824A, go to step 3.
If your Part No. does not match any of those listed above, you
already have the latest version of Bluetooth software for your radio/
sat nav.
Keep checking this link for future updates.
STEP 3:
Check that your software version is 0407 or higher, download
the new software from the following link and follow the instructions
to install it (Link to: Instruction for updating your Media System
Touch/color).
If not, you already have the latest version of Bluetooth software.
Keep checking this link for future updates.

I just ran through the update - very easy and I used a USB stick rather than an SD card. Seemed to take software version up to 0420 and takes about 3 or 4 minutes to complete.

I was hoping it would fix bluetooth metadata issues I have streaming music over Spotify. However, it doesn't... so still no metadata (track info) for me...

So in short - it's easy to do but I notice no improvements.

Do you happen to know your old S/w version or MY for the car?

Some guys have had units with 0132, 0421 and 0425

Yeah, the software version I loaded onto the USB stick was 5F00358XXA. It comes as a RAR file which needs extracting to root of your selected media (we know it works on SD card and USB stick and the instructions suggest it would take a CD too).

I'm afraid it all happened so quickly, I didn't make a note of the software version! It just picked up straight away that there was an update ready to install and did I want to run it...

Maybe I have too much faith in technology, but in my experience if the update is not valid then it just wouldn't pick it up.

Having said this, if you're not experiencing issues I would not bother undertaking the update. I did it in the hope it would solve some track metadata issues but alas, it did not...

I will update mine tomorrow, thanks for the links. It is beyond any logic why it is on the Austrian website only. Sometimes SEAT seem to be so unprofessional when dealing with stuff like that...

I tried the update but my system's software seems to be more up to date!

Mine shows as version 0425. The version in the download appears to be 0420.

I have updated with 5F00358XXA file, it displayed a progress bar and everything went OK. However all version numbers shown in the system information screen remained unchanged. I guess an internal Bluetooth module software version has been updated but I can't find a way to check that, what the current version is and what the previous one on my car was. Besides I don't find any difference in Bluetooth audio quality or audio streaming improved, etc so the whole exercise was pretty much useless to me, but who knows - they might have updated compatibility with newer smartphones, etc.
