Seat ibiza 1.4 SE COPA 5dr

hi guys ive brought a seat ibiza 1.4 SE copa last week and it should be arriving tomorrow. now on the website it isnt mentioned that theres USB, it only says it has an AUX-in. but when i rang the dealer a few days ago he said it has USB and AUX-in. can anyone confirm this? and if it has usb isit ipod compitable? there were also some posts saying i have to buy an adition cable for the usb is that true? was also wondering can the ipod/iphone/memory stick be controlled from the headunit itself if the car has usb?

Quick and nippy. Well anyway the car didn't come with USB it only came with AUX connection. Even tho the dealer said it has USB it doesn't so I'm gonna ring him up to
Tomorrow and find out why there isn't one and if lied.

I have found where the USB port is, it's underneath the climate control panel to the right hand side.

My car hasn't arrived yet but it's there in the brochure picture of the SE Copa. It's also in the spec list that i've seen somewhere.

so i rang up the dealer today and he said all ibiza copa models dont come with USB even tho the broucher picture shows it and the display model in the showroom shows it. he said its not in the spec if you look carefully. So i guess thats it you cant get USB. the only way you can have USB is if you get the bluetooth pack which comes with USB and that has to be ordered when you order the car as there is no way to fit it after the car has arrived. He said i might be able to get an USB fitted he said he'll speak to the audio technician and get back to me, so fingers crossed hopefully they can fit an USB port in my car and it wont be to expensive hopefully.

I'm sure the previous Chill and Good Stuff models that the Copa SE was supposed to be equivalent too had USB?

yh they did but i guess the copa doesnt have the USB function instead they've added other options that the other 2 never had.

chill has it (as thats what i have) if you look at copa spec it only says AUX in connection. if it had USB connection it would say AUX & CUP

seems like they've taken out 2 speakers as well for giving auto lights and wipers =/

think all 2012my ibizas have lost those 2 speakers, along with the easy-entry height adjustable passenger seat and middle rear head rest. cost cutting I guess

when you say 6 speaker are there actually 6 speakers? or are there just 4 speakers and 2 tweeters? cause the cars still have the 2 tweeters so if they are counted then i guess they still got 6 speakers.

hmm, i donno. all i know is the spec now says 4 speakers, where as previously it said 6 on MY11 cars. so i guess its 2 speakers and 2 tweeters rather than 4 speakers and 2 tweeters??

my 5dr SE copa's got 4 speakers (2 in rear door and 2 in front door) and its got 2 tweeters in the front windscreen pillars.

you sure theres ACTUAL speakers in there and not just the grills? i only say that cos my parents golf has the grills in the back, but theres no actual speakers in them..cheap skates! so they only get the sound from 2 speakers and 2 tweeters in the front. and with the spec of the copa saying it only has 4 i bet thats the case.

i think if SEAT or VW or whoever said 2 speakers and 2 tweeters most people wouldn't have a clue what they where on about!

lol im a 100% sure theres 2 speakers in the back 2 doors i checked today i turned the fader up to rear and the sound was definatly only coming from the back 2 speakers then i turned it up to front and the front where playing so its definatly got 4 speakers and 2 tweeters

fair play then!lol. seems odd as to why previous models said they had 6 speakers but now the spec says the news ones have 4? maybes you got one before they ripped 2 speakers out!

I was disappoined with the lack of USB port on the Copa. I showed the dealer both the Seat website and brochure and the sales guy said he would send something to Seat. Neverheard anything back. I guess the smallprint says it all, along the lines of 'spec can change at any time'.

I also got a rear middle headrest which in the brochure said is an optional extra for the SE copa. I think the people who write their brochures have lost the plot!

Just took delivery of the wifes ibiza 1.4 copa. We had the choice of a model year 11 or 12, we took the year 11 as it had height adjustable passenger seat electric rear windows and a rear centre head rest. Looks like there is some cost cutting going on at Seat. Checked the speakers too , 4 + 2 tweeters
