seat ibiza central locking problem

hi guys, i have a 1997 ibiza gti and have a locking problem, it only locks all doors on the passenger side with the key, the key fob light comes on when pressed but it dont lock or unlock the car. it sometimes locks the whole car when it feels like all on its own. any ideas as its doing my head in??

What happens when you lock/unlock on drivers side??

If the fob only works when it feels like try changing the batteries, it used to happen on mine- i changed the batteries and was the same- so i managed to track down a 2nd hand fob off ebay and reprogrammed it to the car(easy peesy- theres a guide on here somewhere do a search for ir) and all been working since.

when you lock the drivers side it just locks the drivers door, tested the batteries in fob and they are fine 6.7 volts. im thinking the problem might lie with the drivers door lock assembly, had it out but cant see anything wrong with it!

try the wiring loom from your car door to car the little rubber bit the wires a bad for spliting may have a split in it

I have problem with sentral locking of my ibiza it does not correspond the remote
what is the problem an how can i repair it ?
