Seat Ibiza Cupra AP Calipers

Hi All,
I have a quick question for you all, I've messaged the seller of the wheels I've purchased and he stated the following -

Hello Chris

Ive done a bot of asking around to some of my previous customers and as yet nobody has had a fitting issue. Seat have confirmed these will fit the Cupras with the Standard brakes but i seem to think they possibly wont fit if they have the APP / Bendix brake upgrade, larger callipers which were optional at the time of ordering of as an aftermarket fit, maybe this is the problem

Now I was under the impression that all MK4 Cupras (180 PS and 160PS) had 5x100 stud pattern and all Cupras had AP Brake callipers.
As you can see Seat have confirmed they will fit Cupras with "Standard Brakes"

I was under the impression standard brakes were AP Callipers, I've never seen anything else on a Cupra the entire time I've surfed these forums,

I bought my Car directly from a dealer they've told me Cupra MK4's only come with AP Callipers however Mines an 07 Facelift edition.
Did the pre 07 non face-lifts have AP callipers?

I need as many of you as possible to confirm/deny this so that I can take it back to the seller, I want to make 100% sure I'm not flapping out my arse.

I was under the impression that all Mk4 Ibiza Cupra models had the Seat Sport/AP Racing calipers as standard. I know they were an option on the continent but standard in the UK!

standard on mine. As said, standard in UK, option everywhere else. The Mk5 has them as an option here tho.

Cheers guy, I thought as much.
The receipts on the wheels are in German so Imagine the importers Seat contact is in the EU.
Its just a shame really that these wheels dont fit, I'm still unsure of the safety of 20mm front spacers.
Alot of VDub's run 20mm front spacers without issue, but the last thing you want is a catastrophic bearing failure and my wheel coming off!

I've spoken to someone who races a Jetta and a Raddo round the track and he uses 20mm all round never had a problem!

As Rich said, standard in the UK but optional extra in the rest of europe.

yep i can confirm that!

In Greece they came as extra for an extra 1500 euros...

So...the cupra rear calipers would come painted in red, the AP calipers would be fitted and the spare wheel was another 17" cupra wheel...

Thats what that 1500euro extra would give you.
