Just bought a VW Polo GTi and the first thing I've noticed is that the standard brake pads are pretty woeful at wiping off speed during 'spirited' cross country driving.
VW drivers clearly aren't meant to drive their cars hard as they don't offer the 312mm brake upgrade from the factory like Seat. With this in mind, what upgrade pads are currently available? I've searched the main producers (Pagid, Mintex, Ferodo, etc.) but they don't list pads for the Seat Ibiza Cupra Mk V, which I assume uses the same braking hardwear (discs, calipers, etc.).
I'm guessing the braking system isn't brand new for the Seat Cupra/VW GTi/Skoda VRs, so what should I be looking for? Also, has anyone fitted braided brake hoses with the standard pads? If so, how much difference did this make, as my initial thoughts are the standard rubber hoses don't help matters...
Grateful for any help you can offer.
