I believe that there was a no-cost option to have the softer, standard suspension on some of the sport versions.
As for the turbo fix - or 'product enhancement' as SEAT amusingly refers to it - it can be just a software update, or adding a spacing washer between the waste gate actuator and the turbo body, or both the s/w and the washer. There should be a paper trail for the fix and it's a minor mod which is done free under warranty.
I think one of the guys from Germany highlighted the fix first as 1.2TSi engines were cooking their turbos. As far as I am aware, there has never been anything similar reported here in the UK, perhaps the no-speed-limit autobahns in Germany have allowed people to run at full power for long enough to demonstrate the problem - but that's pure speculation on my part!
