Seat Ibiza Mk4 Oil Warning

Morning all,

I have owned an 04 Mk4 Seat Ibiza 20 V T for about 18 months now. It was serviced last November however today the spanner icon appeared on the dashboard. Also the word 'OIL' appears too when I first start it, however it disappears after about 2 minutes once the car gets a bit warm (the spanner stays all the time though).

I have checked the dipstick and there is plenty of oil in the engine. Could this be a dodgy pressure sender or something more serious?

Any help would be gratefully received.

More than likely it is the service interval light wasn't reset at the service

don't panic its just the service warning symbol,when was it last serviced?,if recent maybe they didnt reset it,instructions to do it yourself are in the owners manual.

Thanks guys. I'll have a look at resetting it and see what happens.
