7 weeks ago I lost my seat Ibiza 2022 while in a run and I bought the car without a spare key. I placed an order in through a locksmith who have bought a key off SEAT who will come out to my car and program the key for me when it comes. However… I’ve been waiting now for 7 weeks when I was told it would take 5-10 days and can’t seem to get a straight answer. The locksmiths don’t seem to be bothered and when I go to SEAR directly they refuse to tell me anything as I’ve gone through the locksmiths. SEAT told me that they currently don’t have a component to make the key but aren’t giving any more details for some reason.

Does anyone know how long this is actually supposed to take or know is there is an issue with SEAT making new keys?

Many parts are on backorder with no lead times.

Does your vehicle have the keyless start system? Or a traditional steering column lock barrel?
