I'm just wondering what sort of figure you can expect to bring a dealer down to on a new 1.2TSI? Also, what sort of APR rates do they offer with their finance options?

it all depends on the size of your deposit. with some good bargaining you could be looking at knocking about £1000-£2000 off asking price. only unless your dealer is a :w4nk: then be prepared to walk away and go to a different dealer

Yeah I don't think you would get too much off, try a few brokers like broadspeed and drivethedeal to see what prices they say. SEAT seem to be pushing the 1.4s at the moment, very well equipped in the new "Copa" trim and available with good discounts.

I'd try a few brokers first. Even if you don't buy from the broker you can quote the broker price to a dealer and perhaps get a better discount. That said I got the "no VAT" deal on my 1.2 TSI 5-door and the quote from the broker was only about £100 lower so I bought from the dealer as it was less bother. Saving was about £2000.

when i got my car last month i got given the offer of finance of 3.2% which is insanely cheap!

have a look at carquake.co.uk even when the no VAT offer was on they were still about £500 cheaper, but i couldn't be bothered faffing around!
