My fuel pump was faulty a month ago, it was making a bit of a noise under the rear seats. My friend is a mechanic who bought a new one (had to identify the exact one that fit). Anyway car has been great since for a month and last night on a weekend away 90 miles from home it's making the same sound and it's asking me to start the car manually (which is won't). The issue seems the same as it did a month ago.
I have to wait for a nearby garage to open hoping they can mend my car but my question is why would a new fuel pump fail so quickly? What other issue could it be?. I can definitely hear the same gurgling and scraping noise underneath the seat like last time.
