Seat Leon FR+ 170 Supercopa Vs Seat Leon FR184

I was just wondering what the difference is between the two engine performance-wise (besides 14bhp!). Is it the same engine/turbo with a slightly tweaked map or are there other changes?

CR170 drives like a CR engine where as the CR184 drives like an old PD engine ... Lots of Torque punch

So do you know if it's just a different map or are there other physical changes? I'm just wondering if the 184 map can be written to my ECU?

The 184 is a completely new engine. Not the same as the 170.

would agree with andrewjb, i had the pd170 and now have the cr184 its very punchy like the old pd was

Nah you cant write a map from a different engine code to your car

i put a pot up about this on an earlier thread. The block is the same. It’s a different turbo setup but suspected different injectors too.
