Hi. I have a 2015 seat leon 2.0 fr 184 that's not starting. Went into limp mode the other day showing a P2635 code. Possibly fuel filter ( changed) and fuel pump ( also changed ) still not starting. Old fuel pump was noisy and the new one is exactly the same. Could it be a bad new pump? What else could I look out for. Thanks.

Hi mate had similar with mine, was the fuel pump ECU next to the low pressure fuel pump. From what you have described I'm 100% sure it's that.

Is this what you mean? Read something about it earlier so that's next on the list.

Not sure about part number mate, got mine genuine part. Didn't think it was much more than that one.

Ok. Cars running, but went into limp mode yesterday twice when I put my foot down? Showing the same p2635 code.so far I've Changed rear pump. Fuel filter and pump module. Took to work this morning and drove sensible with no issues? Will try again today on the way home. Anything else I should look out for?

Definitely to do with low fuel pressure. I had the same issue with a Ford TDCi. It would drive fine if I took it easy, and go into limp mode if I booted it with an error relating to low fuel rail pressure. I was told it was a common problem with the TDCi engines in the Winter, as the fuel filter collects the wax in the diesel and it becomes more solid in the colder weather, and blocks the fuel flow. So when you boot it, it wouldn't be able to get enough through the filter. The answer, in my case, was to have the fuel filter replaced annually.

In your case, I'd take it to a diesel specialist like a Doctor Diesel franchise in your area.

Had the exact same problem with my parents Ford 1.6 TDCI, drove fine except would cut out when accelerating hard, but would always start again but the fault code was erroneous and not to do with the fuel system.
Cheapest thing first was the fuel filter which fixed this issue.

Hi folks.

late to the party here and hopefully not breaking the rules commenting on an old post

I have a mk7 gold gtd 184 (CUNA engine same as the 184 Leon I believe?)

I have the same issue as above. Fault code P2635: Fuel Pump "A" Low Flow/ Performance

Has gone into limp mode once or twice.
It is accompanied by fault code P8700: Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too Low

Can anyone shed some light on this?
I believe should try replacing in order
1. Fuel Filter
2. Low pressure fuel pump
3. Low fuel pump module/relay/ecu

any advice on your own issues? Could it be something worse such as filings from fuel pump in the filter and ruined injectors?

Thanks!

Did either of you have any issues after changing the control module after getting the P2635 code?
Nothing related or issues with high pressure fuel pump?
Thanks

Has it had a new fuel filter in the last few years/ever?
If no - this wants changing anyway - and is cheapest/easiest so I would start there.
