Hi all,

I am in need of some help. I have recently had a service, a few days after the service I had the engine management light start flashing and into limp mode. The car was booked in for a cambelt/water pump change so I mentioned this to the mechanic and he advised to change the filter again(cheapest option to try)....however 3 days later after driving fine, its happened again. I have been reading these forums but can't find a part number for the fuel pump relay module? Can anyone help?

Its a 2013 Leon FR - 2.0 TDI.

I am going to change the fuel pump relay module and see how it goes before moving to the actual pumps themselves.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

This thread had the same fault code/symptoms - and changing their in-tank low pressure pump fixed their problem.

If you share your VIN I can check the correct part number of lift pump and relay module.
Can you hear your pump changing speeds - so high when you first start, then ramp down when idling?
If so - this would suggest your relay module is working (at least doing something), and it's more likely your pump.
Is your in-tank pump noisy?

Hi buddy, apologies for not replying sooner, I've only just got to having a look more closely at it. This is what the pump sounds like on cold start, however now the EML comes on soon as it starts...while taking this video I did notice it came on when engine started then went off, which is unusual as usually when its on it requires you turning it off and back on to clear it.

Let me know if the pump sounds 'normal' for a start when idling.

Ive got a module here, just not sure whether to fit it yet and also a pump on order (which can be returned if its not required)

Fuel Pump Idling

Thanks

There's some weird clunking in the audio - what's that from?
Maybe you can share a video - easy to upload to youtube and share a link.
If you remove the rear seat you get a better sense of what the fuel pump it doing.
