Seat leon mk1 Dreaded Water leak !

Just got the butyl tape a few days ago. Going to attempt it in a bit today. Just a few questions
Once ive removed the metal plate do I feed the strip In the ridge bit all around then close it and tighten do I need to put it all around the sides too Once its back in place ?

Also last time I was having trouble removing the rear door cards. My car has the manual roll down mechanism does anyone know how to take them off ?

Take the metal accessories carrier off (you need to tape the window in place and loosen the glass clamp bolts to do this). Clean all the old sealant off of the door and the accessories carrier. Put the butyl tape in the ridge where the old sealant was and refit. You put it all around the bottom and the sides. No need to do the top.

And I'm not good on a computer either but I still found it pretty easy on a search, I mean thats what its there for

Not sure why me being here for 5 mins has got anything to do with it, I've gained advice and given it and searched for it, all in my 5 mins

With all your wealth of experience you could've posted the link up yourself rather than typing it out which isn't easy for everyone to get the hang of as most would rather see it, so pictures that someone has gone through the effort of doing for this very reason...
