Hello guys,

I am new on the forum hopefully you will understand my issue. I have pointed it out on one of the groups on the facebook. Basically I have done the service in Seat Garage yesterday. All went good, no problems. 68k miles on the clock, mot done in one go as well so happy days for next years. I am second owner, bought the car 2 weeks ago, car is in good condition, always kept serviced on time in main seat garage.

I had mention at last service to have a look on the pixles in the corners on touch screen radio and there is a funny noise coming every now and then from the boot. This is story from facebook, I had to copy it here to do not waste too much time writing about it. Please have a look, hopefully you will understand the issues:

"As I mentioned last time my Seat Leon service was done today. Major Service + MOT from the Seat as Advisor offered me MOT as it expires 28th. I agreed with it and it was worth it - service and MOT done without objections, suspension ok, no leaks. All pretty much in good condition, no problems at all. They suggested me to replace the disc and brakes + brake oil as 75% of it was used up. Only the front part of discs and pads. EXPENSIVE

So in total I had to pay quite a lot almost 700 pounds. I wonder if it was a good move to replace the discs and pads for 300 pounds, but on the other hand, what is in the service book, no one will take it away from me.
I mentioned also about the pixels problem you advised to mention it to them. I got a valuation of repair at 700 pounds (look at the photo). Nothing about the guarantees or about free of charge has been told.... The fact that my language barrier breaking me and also it does not allow me to make any great negations, so I had to leave it as it is as it is not a major problem. Any advice?

Besides, I do not know if there was such a subject already mentioned, but once I bought the car from the boot there was coming a strange sound, such a continuous, monotonous. sometimes it goes on when the engines is on and after that is fine, someone it is not, every now and then happens. I have pointed out this for them to check it and they have described it like this: "When started there is an electric noise sounds like an electric handbrake arming fuel tank lift pump is noisy but still creating correct pressure. Cost to replace 401.51 "."

Had anyone got same issues before? Car is 4 years old, I do not think it is fair to make pay for it... I have contacted on email main dealer but for now on ... no response. :(

Did you buy the car from the Seat main dealer?

This all just seems to be maintainence/wear and tear related and with the car being out of its 3 year warranty I can’t see Seat paying a penny. If you did buy it from the dealer i would probably query the brakes with them though depending on the deal you did with them

If you didn’t buy it from the dealer then I’d say you have no chance . Given the age and mileage I’d check the cambelts been done btw too

I bought the car privately, which not giving me too many chances to get it sorted from main dealer.

By the way, regarding to fuel tank lift pump is noisy. Any ideas? How much it will cost me to replace? Thanks
