Apologies for highjacking this thread, did anyone come across the code for the hatchback version (pre facelift)? I’ve seen that a mk7 golf liner might fit, but not 100% on this. Would like to do this to mine, shame it wasn’t like this from factory……

@Vippen how much sound deadening material did you use? (including the rear seats) TIA

I was thinking of getting some 100 mil (2.5mm). Do you think it’s worth getting the thicker mat? Thanks for your reply btw

I don't think there will be any difference really. Do what works best for you. The main goal is to get the metal solid :)

This was the barcode off the seat one I managed to get off eBay. As someone mentioned in the thread, in earlier cars this was apparently standard (which I didn’t know) so may get lucky if you ping a few emails to eBay breakers.
That part number doesn't exist in the ETKA parts catalogue. WOndering also if this will work in a 5 door hatch Leon as well as the ST.

HOWEVER, what does exist is the part number 5F0 863 463 which retails at £114.32 + vat

Also found one for the Golf hatch 2013-2020 5G6 863 007D at £83.52+vat

Hope this helps

Just one issue with covering the floor with sound deadening material - this will cover up the data sticker and more importantly any recall/service campaign receipt stickers:unsure:

I didn't notice any data stickers at all.

What are the stickers you mention?
These are the stickers on my Toledo, stuck to the flat boot floor right next to the spare wheel on the nearside. Too cold to get a pic of the data label in the same place on my Leon! The two recall stickers are for a power steering software upgrade, and replacement of the accelerator pedal

Thanks Jay ?

For anyone who has fitted sound deadening - did you bother to remove any trims or carpets to fit it underneath them? Or just fitted to the bare metal that is visible?

I removed the rear seats, all the plastic trim in the boot, the trim around the seat belts and all carpets I could access. Just be mindful of where to apply the deadening as it could be where the trim clips into the body

apologies for what might be a daft question , but the first picture of the boot , without any floor mats , did it come out like that from the factory ?

Only the boot or did you also do the back-seat and wheel arches?
For the rear of the car I only did what you can see in the photo.

I also put some acoustic foam on the back of the front door cards. I bought it from a UK based company called Dodo ?, they were cheaper than Silentcoat and their products seem to be virtually identical.
